We will be adding additional fibre capacity to our main datacentre in Reading. During these works we anticipate brief interruptions to links leaving the datacentre to the rest of our network but we will be scheduling the work such that enough links remain up at all times to deal with the traffic load on the network. As contractors will be working in close proximity to existing fibres there is additionally an ‘at risk’ element to this work. Staff will be on site to manage this work and to monitor the network closely to ensure that links are restored to service correctly.
